Machine Safeguarding

In 2018 there were 2,872 amputations reported to OSHA. Of these, over three quarters of them were a direct result of inadequate or poorly maintained physical guarding and safeguard controls. OHSA maintains an online record of all severe injuries for the past four and a half years. The most current update to that list can be forund here and shows all recordable severe injuries from January 1, 2015 to May 31, 2019.
